What Are Fibroid Types? – Patient Information Guide
General Information
Fibroids are classified according to their different locations in the uterus. This location determines the symptoms and treatment method.
1. Subserosal Fibroid
Grows towards the outer surface of the uterus.
• Extends into the abdominal cavity

5. Cervical Fibroid
Located in the cervix (neck of the uterus).
• Rarely seen
• Can cause problems during urination and intercourse
