It is a device placed inside the uterus. There are copper and hormonal (LNG-IUS) types. It provides long-term protection.

3. Condom

4. Injection (Depo-Progesterone)

It is a hormone injection given every 3 months. It suppresses ovulation.

5. Subdermal Implant

It is a small rod placed in the arm. It provides protection for up to 3 years and releases progesterone.

6. Vaginal Ring

It is a flexible ring placed inside the vagina. It prevents pregnancy by releasing hormones.

7. Natural Methods

These are methods such as the calendar method, basal body temperature tracking, and cervical mucus tracking. Their effectiveness is lower.

8. Withdrawal Method

It is the removal of the penis from the vagina before ejaculation. Its effectiveness is low.

9. Tubal Ligation (Female Sterilization)

Permanent birth control is achieved by tying the fallopian tubes.

10. Vasectomy (Male Sterilization)

Permanent contraception is achieved by tying the sperm ducts.

Which Method Is Better?

The most suitable method should be determined according to the person's age, health status, pregnancy plans, and lifestyle.
